Thanks Jeff! I definitely recommend going to the Capital Airshow when you get a chance. This airshow was one for the ages totally beyond my expectation. I thought that this airshow being in the evening would not be as good but having it in the late afternoon and twilight made it even better. There was very little gap in between in each demo and just total entertainment for the 4 hours or so.

@@angieharris8015 Unfortunately this happens quite often when I fly UA. Greetings aren’t UA strong points.

Don't understand how speeding certain parts make it look "fake". If I show those parts in realtime, my videos would be much too long and my audience would not want to watch my videos. Keeping my videos between 15 to 20 mins is most appropriate for my audience.

@@anthonywalsh2164 actually I prefer to be on a noisy plane, it helps to drown out other noises. Planes that are quieter actually make it difficult to get rest when others are talking or babies are crying.

@anthonywalsh2164 this 777-300ER is one of the best and safest planes ever built. It’s only a few years old 🤦‍♂️

My hyperbole was obviously lost. It was more the design of the plane in terms of passenger comfort, especially regarding noise and the 3-4-3 layout in economy.

@@anthonywalsh2164 It's not really the fault of Boeing nor a design issue regarding the 3-4-3 layout but rather the decision of the airlines. Originally, the 777-200 had a 2-5-2 or 3-3-3 seating config. I actually flew in 3-3-3 on EVA AIR back early 2010s. When airlines realized that they could cram another seat into the row to squeeze profitability, then it became a horrible passenger experience in Economy.

Thank you, appreciate you watching the video. Actually prior to the pandemic, at one point SFO had 4 airlines to HKG and they were UA, CX, SQ and HX. (I believe AA and DL may have had flights from LAX or elsewhere but not SFO.) But with the 4 airlines, it was a bloodbath with HX losing out. SQ was my favorite and I took them often between SFO and HKG. However, since the pandemic, SQ for whatever reason has not returned service between these 2 cities. :(

Actually the food didn't taste that bad at all on this flight. I think UA has made some progress with their catering. The dinner was surprisingly good. As for breakfast could have looked better but as they say taste is king and taste wise the main dish was pretty good.

it's a good suggestion. However, the problem with the A380 windows is that the distance between the inner and outer window is quite thick and so even with any hood, there'll be reflection. It's virtually unavoidable on the A380's.

I believe that taste does change due to the lower cabin pressure. I haven’t informed UA about the taste issue. For the most part, the food on UA has improved over the years. Usually flights originating from San Francisco, the food quality has been pretty good. I think my Taiwan flight was just a one off situation.

How so? Hawaiian Airlines has had a remarkable safety record.

To be honest, I never do daytime trips because night time flights for me is the easiest way to get adjusted to the Asia time zone. What I mean is that after dinner meal is served I wait for a bit and try to sleep for 6 hours or so and then wake up for breakfast before landing in the morning and then you force yourself to stay up till night time and by then you'll be super tired allowing you to sleep. However if I flew daytime you have to force yourself to not sleep till you arrive which may be difficult and if you end up sleeping on the flight that'll ruin your sleep pattern once you arrive at your destination which will be at night. I understand your concern about flying at night but honestly wouldn't worry too much about night flying. Even if you flew during the day the flight crew asks you to pull down the window shades. Happy travels!

That is certainly a good question. It remains to be seen what the merger will look like and what Alaska wants to do with the A330 fleet. The A330 fleet is certainly getting up there in age and could use a refresh in the coming years.

@@TopGear93100 Correct, from what I read it will be separate. What I meant was whether Alaska's management would be willing to spend the money to refurb the A330 fleet.
